Happy Tuesday book friends! I’m happy, because this week I don’t have to work a lot. I’m have two birthday parties, too, so that’s going to be fun! Less fun is that it’s going to rain bunches too this week… Of course that comes with the season. And yet, there are many reasons why I think fall is great!
To be honest, I don’t know if fall is my favorite season. The cozy vibes are great, but I also immensely enjoy summer and winter. Although last summer was horrible weather-wise, so maybe summer is not my fav anymore.
Anyway, here are some reasons why I think this season is amazing!
1 – The fall decor
If by now you don’t know that I love all types of autumnal decor, then I don’t know where you’ve been. It always gets me super excited! I managed to have a little restraint this year, and didn’t buy a whole lot of new stuff. Honestly, I don’t have anywhere to put new stuff anyway. What’s also exciting about fall decor coming out, is that Christmas decor follows soon after! I love fall and Christmas equally, so I don’t mind seeing wintery decor around already.
2 – The coziness
Even though on the one hand it kind of sucks that it’s getting dark so early, I also enjoy the coziness that comes with it. Nothing quite better than coming home, lighting a few candles, and settling down for the evening. In the summer I always felt like I had to go outside to make the most out of the daylight, but fall allows me to just hole up and read all night.
3 – Fall fashion
I don’t know if it’s the same for you guys, but fall fashion looks so much better than summer fashion on me. I can’t handle bright or pastel colors, so the only ones that look good on me are fall and winter ones. You know, dark red, dark green, dark blue, et cetera. I’ve bought some lovely new things recently, and I get so happy when I get to pick a new outfit each day! Plus I love beanies and it’s almost cold enough to start wearing them again.
4 – Reading time
In the summer, I always feel like I have to be doing stuff. I have to go outside, because the sun is out. Or I have to meet with friends, because when else do I want to travel to get to them? Don’t get me wrong, I love being active and being social, but fall and the overall weather are great excuses to just stay inside and read. I always get more reading done in the colder seasons.
5 – All the flavors
Okay, so I’m not a fan of pumpkin flavored things, but I love apple! Apple pie, apple cider, you name it. Also enjoy cinnamon cookies. And it’s not just flavors; I love fall scents too! The smell of pine forest, fireplaces, and crisp leaves. I should really try my hand at making some fall-scented pot pourri one time. Either way, the flavors and smells of fall are things that make fall great for me!
