Happy Wednesday everyone! I hope everyone had a good start of the week. I personally haven’t done anything besides read. Which is not bad, but I can definitely think of a few things I should be doing instead, lol.
Anyway, WWW Wednesday is hosted by Taking on a World of Books, and all you need to do is answer these three questions:rereads
– What are you currently reading? – What did you recently finish reading? – And what do you think you’ll read next?
P.S: My posts look best when viewed in landscape mode on your phone or on your desktop!
What I’m Currently Reading
House of Earth and Blood
By Sarah J. Maas
Currently rereading House of Earth and Blood. Counting this book I’ve already done seven rereads this year, which is… a lot. Anyway, you may remember that I made me non-reader friend read the ACOTAR series, and that I reread those at the same time that she read them for the first time. Well, I now made her read House of Earth and Blood. So I’m rereading that too so we can talk about it! A reread wasn’t a bad idea anyway, considering that CC2 is scheduled to come out this year. But when? Who knows. Anyway, I’m having fun with this reread! I might even review it, since I neglected to do that last year.
What I Recently Finished
The Shadow of the Gods
By John Gwynne
Expected publication: 6 May 2021
So here’s a book I probably won’t shut up about for a while. I got an e-ARC of this one a while ago, and finished it last week. This Norse-inspired chonker is full of action, but also has epic world building and amazing characters. I might even go ahead and buy the hardcover of this when it comes out, even though adult SFF is expensive af. But it’ll be worth it, because look at the cover! Huge fricking dragon!! Anyway, if you’re intrigued, you can find my five-star review of this book here!
What I’ll Read Next
Get A Life, Chloe Brown
By Talia Hibbert
The “what I’ll read next” question is always a bit tricky, but I think this time around I will actually stick to it. I’ve seen the Brown sisters everywhere, and I’m intrigued. I don’t normally read contemporaries, but I tend to enjoy them every now and then as long as they’re light and funny. And while I know that these books probably deal with some serious issues, I think overall they’re quite lighthearted. Plus, it would be nice to read about a cute romance for a change. With SFF romances I’m always scared one half will get killed off…rereads
And that’s it for this WWW Wednesday! I said it last time as well, but I’ll try to make more of an effort to do these posts more often. I am reading at a zoom zoom speed right now, so I don’t see why I can’t update y’all every week.
