Happy Wednesday book friends! Did you guys know that my last WWW Wednesday post was in July 2021?! That’s honestly insane. The funny things is, as I read through it, I could recall exactly in which phase of my life I was back then. Anyway, let’s dive into what I’ve been reading lately!
And oh yeah, here’s the rules for WWW Wednesday, of course.long overdue long overdue
WWW Wednesday is hosted by Taking on a World of Books, and all you need to do is answer these three questions:
– What are you currently reading? – What did you recently finish reading? – And what do you think you’ll read next?
What I’m currently reading
Assistant to the Villain
By Hannah Nicole Maehrer
I started this one on Monday and am enjoying it so far! Am about a quarter of the way in now. I’ve heard so many mixed things about this book, but honestly, I think it’s a fun take on the fantasy-romance genre. I’ve been imagining this story takes place in a Shrek-type fantasy world, rather than a Lord of the Rings-type fantasy world, and that really adds to the humor of it all. Hope to finish it in the next couple of days!
What I recently finished
Phantasma
By Kaylie Smith
Phantasma I finished last weekend, and omg it was amazing. Loved this book so much and I sincerely hope there will be more to come. I mean, there’s a 1 on top of the cover right? That means there will be more books, right?? You can find my full review here!
What I’ll read next
The Fury of the Gods
By John Gwynne
Honestly, I’ve been such a mood reader lately I can’t even say for sure if this is what I’ll read next. However, I do need to work on my NetGalley ratio. Not to mention that this is one of my most anticipated releases of this year. We’ll just have to see whether I’ll be in an epic-fantasy type mood once I finish Assistant to the Villain. Either way, this book will be read sooner rather than later!
And that’s it for this week’s WWW Wednesday! As the title says, this was long overdue. Hopefully I’ll be able to somewhat consistently keep posting this type of content, too!
