Would You Rather – Bookish Edition Tag

Book tag time! I was tagged by Leah from Leah’s Books and Cooks to do the “would you rather” tag. I glanced over the questions, and they’re actually pretty hard, so here we go…

But first, here are the rules for this tag:

  • Answer the questions given to you by your nominator
  • Make up your own questions and tag others

Would you rather have to read the last chapter of every new book first, or never read the last chapter?

Okay, there we have it. I told you this was hard?! In this case I’d choose to read the last chapter of every new book first. I don’t think I would want to miss out on what’s happening in those last few pages! Also, I used to read the last page of every book first when I was a kid…

Would you rather have someone ruin the ending of a book for you or never finish a book you were reading?

I think I’d rather have someone ruin the ending of a book for me. Spoilers are not fun, but I’d rather see a spoiler than never know how the story ends!

Would you rather lose your place or get a paper cut every time you read a book?

Lose my place. This was not hard. I’m a wimp and paper cuts hurt 🙁

Would you rather be friends with Hermione Granger or Matilda?

I’d chose Hermione Granger! I relate to her a lot more, and I think we’d get along splendidly.

Would you rather wait five years for the final installment in a series or get it now, but must read every spoiler before you can start reading it?

I think I can wait five years… maybe. Like Leah said, all of us Game of Thrones fans have been waiting for the final TWO books since forever! I mean, the first book came out the year I was born, and I’m 25 now… I’ve also been waiting ages for the final Kingkiller novel.

Would you rather reread your least favorite book monthly or never be able to read your favorite book again?

This one is tough, but I know how horrible it feels to read a book you’re just not into. It makes reading such a chore and not something to look forward to. So, my answer to this question is: never read my favorite book again.

Would you rather read in an isolated cabin that was infested with spiders or in a noisy coffee shop with bad music?

Noise coffee shop, 100%. I’ve been in a spider infected castle once and it was horrible. The bathroom had at least 100 spiders in it, and they weren’t even the small kind. They were big, and definitely creepy. At least in a noisy coffee shop I can, ya know, grab a coffee! 🙂

Would you rather have the ability to read minds, but never be able to read another book or live as you are now and keep reading?

I’d live as I am now! Mind reading sounds fun on the surface, but imagine also being able to hear all the negative thoughts people have. That sounds horrible.

Would you rather read a novel based on a true story of someone you know or a fictional novel where a character is based on you?

This one is tough because both options sound really interesting! But I think I’ll answer that I’d like to read a fictional story with a character based on me. I really enjoy reading fiction the most, and I hope that it’ll be an epic fantasy story!

Would you rather have a book where anything you write in it becomes true or have a book that contains all the knowledge in the universe?

I’d rather have a book where anything I write in it becomes true! I would misuse this so often, haha. The possibilities are endless!

And now to answer Leah’s question…

Would you rather read a great book FULL of typos or a terrible book?

This question is actually hard. I”d hate to read a terrible book, but I also hate typos! But, I think I’d rather pick the great book. I’ll have to get over myself and just ignore the typos, because reading a terrible book sounds even more horrible.

And now my own question…

Would you rather make your favorite character exist, but they don’t know who you are, or have them stay in their book, but be aware of you?

And that’s it! I hope you enjoyed reading this tag. As always, feel free to tag yourself!

This is such a fun and great tag, though oh my at the choices. Some are quite easy to pick, but others… Eh. I loved reading your answers!

I know! Some were easy, and others made me glad none of this would happen in real life😂 Thanks for reading!

Wow those were some great answers, and a super tough question! PS where is this spider infested castle, so I know never to go there? 🤣

Thanks for reading! Thankfully this castle is somewhere in a forest in the Netherlands, and I’ll never have to go there again 😂 It’s such a cool location, but the spiders absolutely ruined it
