If you’re having a sense of deja vu right now, then that makes sense. I made a very similar post not too long ago! But this top ten Tuesday topic is all about my TBR, not necessarily new releases. Click here to read which new releases I predict to be five star reads!
Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly tag created by That Artsy Reader Girl. You can find all the prompts up until April here! This week’s prompt is “books on my TBR that I predict will be 5-star reads.” For this post, I won’t include the ones I had already mentioned in my other post, so instead I’m sticking purely to what’s on my TBR for this year! Read on for my five star predictions:
1 through 5
- Iron Gold – Pierce Brown
The entire original trilogy was five stars for me, so I don’t see why the next trilogy wouldn’t be either. - Starsight – Brandon Sanderson
I definitely should’ve read this book already. I don’t know why I haven’t yet. - Caliban’s War – James S.A. Corey
It’s been exactly a year since I read the first book in the Expanse series, so maybe it’s time to pick up the sequel? - Vicious – V.E. Schwab
I reading this book as I’m typing this, and so far it’s really good! Nice and dark and mysterious, just how I like my books. - Vow of Thieves – Mary E. Pearson
Another one I definitely should’ve read already, but haven’t. I loved the Remnant Chronicles and I loved Dance of Thieves, too. Luckily, this book came with me to the Netherlands!

6 through 10
- We Free the Stars – Hafsah Faizal
I’m not entirely sure why this book did not make it into my other five star predictions post. I think I forgot it is supposed to be released this year, oops. Anyway, it’s here now! I really enjoyed We Hunt the Flame, and I’m hoping We Free the Stars will live up to my expectations. - The Unspoken Name – A.K. Larkwood
Here is one that made it to my February releases post. The premise of this book sounds amazing and I really want this one to be five stars. - The Shadows Between Us – Tricia Levenseller
This book comes out at the end of the month and sounds amazing. It seems like a book that will definitely get dark and has lots of twisted, gray characters. - Wicked Saints – Emily A. Duncan
This book has been on my radar for a while, and I finally have a hardcopy now. This book seems very dark as well, and I’ve heard good things. - Ace of Shades – Amanda Foody
This is another book that has been on my TBR forEVER. For some reason I never pick it up. But I learned recently that it’s more NA than YA, and that makes me a lot more likely to pick it up soon!
And there is my small list of five star predictions! I want to read all of these books this year, but we’ll see which ones get added to my TBR as the year goes by.
