I got tagged again and finally have the time to actually compile my post! I got tagged by Leah from Leah’s Books and Cooks, so read on quickly for my answers to these short TBR related questions…
1 – How do you keep track of your TBR pile?
It’s only question number one, and the TBR book tag is already calling me out… I don’t really keep track at all! I kind of know what I still need to read, what I already own, and what I plan on buying. Sometimes I track my TBR on Goodreads, but I’m not very good at keeping up with it, haha.
2 – Is your TBR mostly print of e-book?
Right now it’s mostly e-book. I have nearly 300 e-books on my e-reader and I think over half of them are unread. Every time I see a e-book on sale for a few cents, I tend to just buy it.
3 – How do you determine which book from your TBR to read next?
I’m very much a mood reader, so I never know until I know. I try to keep up with new releases as much as possible, because I like to review them. However, sometimes I just feel like reading something old.
4 – A book that’s been on your TBR the longest
Pretty sure this has to be Mrs. Peregrine’s House for Peculiar Children. I’ve had it for ages and have yet to read it.
5 – A book that you recently added to your TBR
Okay y’all will never guess this answer… I actually acquired a bunch of non-fiction works that both interest me and I can use for my thesis. Most of them are on the Trump presidency and White Nationalism in America. The most notable titles are Holding the Line, and Alt America.
6 – A book on your TBR strictly because of it’s beautiful cover
At the moment I can’t really think of any, but I remember that the Queen of Blood was a cover buy. I actually read that one a while ago though! The sequel has an equally stunning cover, but I haven’t read that one yet.

7 – A book on your TBR that you never plan on reading
I have some Tolkien books set in the world of the Lord of the Rings that I’ll likely never read. I couldn’t even get through the Fellowship of the Ring.
8 – An unpublished book on your TBR that you’re excited for
Oooh so many! But most notably House of Earth and Blood by Sarah J. Maas, and the Empire of Gold by S.A. Chakraborty!
9 – A book on your TBR basically everyone has read except you
I think this has to be Scythe by Neal Shusterman. I read a lot of books based on how popular they are, so it’s rare when I haven’t read a really popular book. Just haven’t gotten to this series yet, but I’m planning to soon!
10 – A book on your TBR everyone recommends to you
I honestly can’t think of any books right now. The closest I can come to an answer is when a Barnes & Noble employee kept badgering me for weeks to read the Mistborn series by Brandon Sanderson. I finally did, and was blown away!
11 – A book on your TBR that you’re just dying to read
The Empire of Gold again. The previous book just ended in such a mean cliffhanger, I’m dying to know what happens next!
12 – The number of books on your Goodreads TBR shelf
76, but I said I’m not good a keeping track, and considering half of the 300 e-books I own are unread the number is closer to 200 books… Yikes, haha.
