Hello book friends and other readers! I thought it was time for another tag. A bookish one! I will try my hand at the end of year book tag today. If you’re going to use this tag as well, don’t forget to link back to the original creator!
The end of the year book tag was made by Drizzle and Hurricane, but I found it over on Jenn’s blog, Jenniely!
Are there any book you started this year that you need to finish?
Oh yes. I’ve been a little bad at actually finishing books lately. The ones I started this year and still need to finish are Nocturna, the Poppy War, Serpent and Dove, and Spinning Silver. We’ll see if this will actually happen this month or not.
Do you have an autumnal book to transition to the end of the year?
Hmm if I understand the question correctly, that would be Harry Potter for me! Harry Potter is the pure autumnal read in my opinion. I did a reread of almost the entire series in September. The books make me feel nostalgic and cozy!
Is there a new release you’re still waiting for?
Nope, all the books I’m interested in have already been published:) Have I read them yet? Of course not.
What are three books you want to read before the end of the year?
Okay, so I said I’m still supposed to finish Serpent and Dove and I really do want to finish that book because I’ve heard such good things about it. Same goes for the Poppy War. Apparently it’s been leaving people scattered in broken pieces, and I live for those kind of endings. As for the third book I really want to read Starsight! It was one of my most anticipated November releases.
Is there a book that you think could still shock you and become your favorite?
Hmm… good question. I think I’ll have to go with Serpent and Dove again. Obviously I put it temporarily aside for a reason. I don’t think I was in the right mood. But it does seem to have all the things I love. And with all the good things I heard about it I’m sure I’ll eventually love it!
Have you already made reading plans for 2020?
Oh no. Nope. I’m probably not even going to set any goals for 2020. I’m starting grad school and will probably be reading more academic material than fun material. But I do hope to read a good chunk of my physical TBR!
