Lore by Alexandra Bracken – Spoiler Free Review

Happy Saturday book friends! So recently I was thinking about my most anticipated releases for the year, and found out I had hardly read any. I know some are not out yet, but still. I felt bad lol. So I decided to finally do something about it and read some of my most anticipated books I already own. First up was Lore, which came out last January. I had been looking forward to this one because I have come to enjoy Greek mythology a lot, and I really enjoyed Bracken’s other books. This one is no exception, as I literally…

Legacy of Ash – Spoiler Free Review

Happy Wednesday book friends! Last Monday I finished reading Legacy of Ash, which I’m low key proud of. One of my goals this year is to read more adult literature, especially fantasy, but my single brain cells can’t always keep up. The funniest thing about me reading this book is that I was planning to pick up something light and quick. And instead I picked up a 700+ page epic fantasy… Brain cells aside, I ended up really enjoying Legacy of Ash! It’s a bit slow, but also a lot more political which I greatly enjoyed. It gave me Game…

Ashes of the Sun – Spoiler Free Review

Happy Sunday book friends! I recently finished Ashes of the Sun by Django Wexler, and am happy to report that I thoroughly enjoyed it. The second book in this series comes out later this year, and I’m already super excited for it. Funnily enough, I only very recently stumbled upon Ashes of the Sun via the Story Graph. And more funnily enough, I stumbled upon a copy in the bookstore the next day. It doesn’t happen often that I find a book I like to read in our bookstores, since our stores are small and the English selection often quite…

Chain of Iron – Spoiler Free Review

Happy Thursday book friends! I read Chain of Iron at the beginning of June, but totally forgot to write my review for it. I wrote a review for Chain of Gold last year, so honestly I should continue reviewing this series. So here is my very late review of Chain of Iron! I’ve been really enjoying The Last Hours, and am very much looking forward to the third installment in the series, Chain of Thorns. A large part of me is also super excited to see what the cover will look like, because TLH has the best covers of all…

Rule of Wolves – Spoiler Free Review

Guess who finally finished her Grishaverse binge? This girl! Sometime yesterday night I finished Rule of Wolves, and I think I have lots to say about this book. It had some ups and downs for me I’d like to discuss. Mostly ups though. I’m very glad I decided to do a Grishaverse reread. I reread all the Shadow and Bone books, the Six of Crows duology, and King of Scars. All in anticipation of both the show and Rule of Wolves. Especially King of Scars was important for me to reread, because I had forgotten basically everything about it. Read…
