Tag Time – The Cosy Autumn Book Tag

Happy Sunday everyone! I hope everyone has had a good weekend so far. I helped my friend prep her new apartment. As in, I’ve spent four hours ridding the walls of wallpaper residue. We closed the day with a board game with friends, so that was fun!

Today I’m doing the Cosy Autumn Book Tag! I was tagged by Lauren from Where There’s Ink, There’s Paper, so thank you for the tag!

This tag was originally created by The Book Belle on BookTube!

What book always reminds you of Fall/Autumn?

Hmm, I’m still gonna go with Harry Potter, because of the cosy vibes I get from these books. It’s funny how these books always span an entire school year, and yet I always associate them with Autumn!

What is your favorite Autumnal book cover?

an Enchantment of ravens Book cover

For me it’s gonna be the cover of An Enchantment of Ravens by Margaret Rogerson! Autumn is a central theme in this book, as one of the characters is the Autumn Prince, so obviously it deserved a beautiful Autumnal cover!

What is your favorite Autumnal drink to read with?

So call me weird, but I don’t really like hot drinks that much. I like them sometimes, but definitely not every day, so most of the time when I’m reading, I’ll have water or ice tea. But, I do sometimes enjoy a hot cup of tea! I like cinnamon-apple tea, which is very Autumnal!

Do you prefer to read late at night, or early in the morning?

I am not a morning person at all, so when I wake up I’m usually just trying to survive. I do love settling down in bed after a long day with a good book, so there’s my answer! There’s nothing more cosy than diving into warm blankets in the evening. And I’ve also spent entire nights awake trying to finish a book…

Halloween is coming! What is your favorite spooky read?

I’ve said it a million times before, but I really loved House of Salt and Sorrows! It’s such a perfect spooky book. But, some other books that are perfect for this time of year are Kingdom of the Wicked (which comes out the 27th!) and The 7.5 Deaths of Evelyn Hugo, which isn’t necessarily spooky, just unsettling at times.

What is the ultimate comfort read for you?

Weirdly enough, for me that’ll be the Strange the Dreamer duology. For some reason I find its message very hopeful, and it always makes me realize that I can achieve a lot of things, even when life doesn’t seem to be that great right now.

What is your favorite Autumnal reading snack?

I love snacks like, a LOT. My favorite snacks to grab while reading are either chocolate wafer cookies, or just some chips. I love chips. Neither of those are Autumnal, but aside from apple pie, I can’t think of any Autumnal snacks I really like. And I don’t just have an apple pie lying around lol.

What is your favorite Autumnal candle to burn while reading?

It’s not secret that I love Bath & Body Works and that I have a slight obsession, so it shouldn’t surprise you that my favorite candle to burn is one of theirs. Last year I got the Sweater Weather candle and it’s been a favorite ever since. I wish someone could send me like three of those to the Netherlands

When you’re not reading, what is your favorite Autumnal activity?

I really like to walk places, so I’d say walking in the forest! Maybe I’ll go today now that I think about it… I also love ice skating, and I firmly believe that this activity should not be limited to just Winter

What is on your Autumn reading list?

I think you all know I’m a mood reader, so making a list is most of the time useless. But, I do want to read Blood & Honey soon. I am currently reading A Heart so Fierce and Broken, which was also on my TBR for this season.cosy

And that’s it! I hope you enjoyed reading my answers, because I enjoyed doing this tag!
