Tag: Anticipated Releases Book Tag

Hello book friends! Time for another tag. I found this one over at Starlightbooktales (originally made by A Little Haze Book Blog), and it looked fun! It’s a not-so typical anticipated releases tag, so I’m excited for it. Hope you enjoy reading!

Your most anticipated book of the year

An Anticipated Releases tag seems kind of strange to do in November… So it’s a good thing my most anticipated releases of the entire year come out this month! It’s a tie between The Queen of Nothing and Starsight! I think I’m equally excited for both. Fun fact: I’m pretty sure I already own all my other most anticipated releases for this year… And have I read any of them yet? Nope…

A book you’re not anticipating

Just like Starlightbooktales, I’m going to say Children of Virtue and Vengeance. It’s been so long since I read Children of Blood and Bone that I cannot muster up any enthusiasm. I’ll probably still read it, but it’s not high on my priority list right now.

Most under hyped anticipated release

For me it’s Starsight. I know so ~some~ people really enjoyed Skyward and are excited for its sequel, but I don’t see nearly enough about it on the ‘Gram!

Book you’ve been waiting on forever

Can I pick books that won’t even come out this year? Because if so, it’ll have to be The Name of the Wind #3 by Patrick Rothfuss and The Lost Metal by Brandon Sanderson.

A book you’re anticipating that’s out of your comfort zone

This one is also already out, but I kind of want to read the Starless Sea? I’ve never read the Night Circus, but this book got so many good reviews that I really want to try it. Especially since I normally don’t read fiction.

Your top three “can’t wait” books of the year

Starsight by Brandon Sanderson, Call Down the Hawk by Maggie Stiefvater, and The Queen Of Nothing by Holly Black. Again Starlightbooktales and I seem to match in our answers!

Top five most anticipated backlist books on your TBR

Uhm good question. I’d say Serpent & Dove, The Gilded Wolves, Call Down the Hawk, The Long Way to a Small and Angry Planet, and The Secret Commonwealth.

And that’s it! As always, tag urself. Don’t forget to link back to the original creator!
