Remember my Spooky Scary Skeletons tag from last year? I was so pleased to see people actually participated! So of course I had to bring it back. This time around, I loosely based the questions on spooky movies!
spooky scary skeletons
So here is how it’s going to work. I will list the Spooky Scary Skeletons questions below, after which I’ll answer them as well. If you want to participate, link back to this page and tag as many people as you want. But most importantly, have fun with the tag!

The Questions:
- Friday the Thirteenth: What is a superstition you believe in?
- IT: What scares you the most?
- Scary Movie: What’s a book or movie that made you laugh?
- Frankenstein: What is your favorite monster? (literary, mythological, etc.)
- Paranormal Activity: You’ve turned into a ghost! What ghostly thing are you gonna do?
- Scream: What is the scariest book or movie you’ve ever read or seen?
- Zombieland: The zombie apocalypse has begun! What will be your weapon and hideout of choice?
- Dark Shadows: What is your favorite book or movie featuring vampires?
- Hocus Pocus: You are now a witch. What will be your first wicked act?
- The Nightmare Before Christmas: You get to plan Halloween this year! What will you do to make it an unforgettable day?
Friday the Thirteenth
What is a superstition you believe in?
I’m not a super superstitious person (hehe), but there are some small things I do to give myself peace of mind. The first thing that popped into my head upon creating this question is that I always touch the outside of the plane before getting in. Apparently it’s for luck. I’ve never not done it, and I’m not gonna test how unlucky it is to not touch the plane.
IT
What scares you the most?
Many things in life are scary, but I’m gonna go with bugs. I don’t mind bugs that much, as long as I know where they are. If something unexpectedly flies in my face I will freak out. What’s more, sometimes I lucid dream that my bed is covered in creepy crawlies with me in it. That always seems so real, and every time it happens I jump out of bed as soon as I am able to move my limbs again. Then there’s always the confusion of seeing a perfectly pristine bed with no bugs all over it.
Scary Movie
What’s a book or movie to make you laugh?
The first book I thought of is The Eyre Affair by Jasper Fforde. This book is what happens if a detective and Monty Python had a lovechild. It was very enjoyable, and at times just utterly absurd! I recommend it if you’re in search for a quick, fun read, that at the same time keeps you on the edge of your seat.
I also finished the third season of Stranger Things (not a movie, I know), and that definitely had some funny moments too. Also sad moments, but let’s not talk about that…

Frankenstein
What’s your favorite monster?
Hmm… The term “monster” is of course very broad, so there’s lots to choose from! But I think my favorite is any kind of oceanic leviathan. The ocean is scary as heck, and it’s not made better by the possibility that gigantic monsters might be lurking deep underneath the surface. But that mysteriousness also makes them so intriguing in my opinion!
Paranormal Activity
You’ve turned into a ghost! What ghostly thing are you gonna do?
I would probably just be a slightly annoying ghost. Like I’d move all your furniture slightly to the left, and put your pictures upside down in your frames. If I’m feeling extra evil, I might change the order of your books on your shelves, hehe.
Scream
What’s the scariest book or movie you’ve ever read or seen?
I tend to avoid horror movies (weird, considering this tag, but whatever), so I have not seen a lot of truly scary things. I did see Final Destination when I was like, 10, and it scarred me. Watching Paranormal Activity and then walking home at midnight wasn’t the best idea ever, either.
I like scary books a lot more than scary movies, but still haven’t read any true horror books. I did enjoy House of Salt and Sorrows though! This book definitely scored high on the creepy-factor, but wasn’t scary enough that I couldn’t sleep at night, thankfully.
Zombieland
The zombie apocalypse has begun! What will be your weapon and hideout of choice?
Okay, so I would avoid anything that you need to reload. So give me swords or a machete. Something to chop their heads off. Then, as a hideout, I’d have something with only one entrance, and preferably higher up. That way, not only will I have the high ground, if large hordes of zombies try to attack me, they’ll have to go through a narrow point, creating a bottleneck, giving me the advantage.
Yes, I’ve thought a lot about this

Dark Shadows
What is your favorite book or movie featuring vampires?
I love a good vampire book, so obviously I needed a question about vampires for this tag. I like them in all variations, too! In the Dresden Files, they’re genuinely evil, while in Vampire Academy, they’re really not. Unless they’re strigoi…
Anyway, I think my favorite books with vampires have to be the Vampire Academy and Bloodlines books. I flew through them when I read them, and still want to do a reread one day!
Hocus Pocus
You are now a witch. What will be your first wicked act?
I’d definitely curse something. But what?? Oh! I’d curse my enemies with two left feet. I don’t have any enemies, but still… I’d probably be annoying rather than malicious, just like how I’d be as a ghost.
The Nightmare Before Christmas
You get to plan Halloween this year! What will you do to make it an unforgettable day?
Uhh, first of all, I would not kidnap Santa. I will, however, make everyone wear costumes. What’s the point of Halloween if people don’t dress up?
Then, I’d have fun activities for everyone throughout the day like trick or treating and pumpkin carving. In the evening there will be a huge Halloween fest for everyone in town, and there will be so much food and drink! I’ll have caramel apples, and candy corn, and yummy boooozy drinks. We’ll end the night with fireworks! And of course there will also be a best-costume prize.
