My Most Anticipated April Releases

Happy second day of April everyone! I know today I’d normally do a Fae Friday post, but my brain is fried and I can’t think of things. So, I’m just gonna tell you which April releases I’m looking forward to!

Just like with my other most anticipated posts of this year, I’m going to copy-paste the books from my master list. I mean, I am kinda lazy. But let’s just turn that into a positive and say I’m efficient! Anyway, there are quite a few books I’m looking forward to, so here they are!Anticipated April releases

P.S: My posts look best on your phone when viewed in landscape mode!

Blesses Monsters book cover

Blessed Monsters

By Emily A. Duncan

Expected Publication: April 6

Okay, looks like I am changing the text a little bit. Originally this said that I haven’t yet read Ruthless Gods, which is still true. But when I drafted my master list, I was hopeful I could read it before Blessed Monsters came out. Well that’s just not true, lol. I’m likely not going to read any of these books until I’m done with my thesis. But that doesn’t mean I can’t be excited about them!

The Serpent's Curse book cover

The Serpent’s Curse

By Lisa Maxwell

Expected Publication: April 13

Oooh I can update this text as well. My original post said I was still reading the second book in this series, The Devil’s Thief. Well, I finished it by now, obviously. It wasn’t my favorite of the series. Definitely had a bit of a second-book syndrome going on. But, the ending definitely made me want to pick up The Serpent’s Curse.
Witched Steeped in Gold book cover

Witches Steeped in Gold

By Ciannon Smart

Expected Publication: April 20

Now that the release date is getting closer, I’ve been seeing this book everywhere. Which is awesome, because it looks so pretty! The story itself seems really cool, too. I don’t think I’ve read a Jamaican-inspired book before. It has basically everything: witches, magic, revenge… you know. Normal teenager stuff.

The Crown of Gilded Bones book cover

The Crown of Gilded Bones

By Jennifer L. Armentrout

Expected Publication: April 20

Okay so I started reading From Blood and Ash because I saw it literally all over the place, and I wanted in on the goods. So then obviously I got hooked and read A Kingdom of Flesh and Fire right after. In my original post I was lamenting that it would still be so long before The Crown of Gilded Bones comes out, and now I have to laugh at that. It’s literally less than three weeks away; time flies by so quickly!
These Feathered Flames book cover

These Feathered Flames

By Alexandra Overy

Expected Publication: April 20

This book is being pitched as “Wicked Saints meets Three Dark Crowns,” which was honestly enough to pique my interest. This story will be about twins separated at birth to fulfill two different fates. That is, until their mother the queen is murdered. It’s a retelling of the Russian folktale The Firebird! Anyone else think of the classical music piece by Stravinsky??

And that’s it for my most anticipated April releases! Seems like April 20th is a popular date to release a book. Like I said, I likely will have zero time to read any of these, but hopefully I can catch up in May/June!

I recently bought From Blood and Ash because I NEED TO KNOW. It’s literally all over the freaking place. I need to know what all the hoopla is about!
