How I Edit My Pictures 2.0

Hello lovely readers!

I thought it was about time I do another “how I edit my pictures” post, since by now I’ve completely revamped my theme. I’ve been using this particular set of edits for a while now, and I must say that I really like this theme. I think it’s one of my favorites! Even though it’s kind of wintery, I think I’m going to keep it a little while longer. At least until I figure out how I want to do my spring/summer theme.

Anyhoo, without further ado, here is the video of my edits! Now even with nice background music~~

Step for Step VSCO

Step 1
First I apply the HB2 filter, and leave it on +12

Step 2
Now I slide the exposure to -0.5

Step 3
Now it’s time to adjust the HSL
1. For blue I put the hue on -3.5, the saturation on
+2.0 and the lightness on +1.0
2. For green I put the hue on +6.0, the saturation on
+2.5 and the lightness on +2.5
3. For yellow I put the hue on -2.5, the saturation on
+1.0 and the lightness on +1.0
4. For orange I put the hue on +6.0, the saturation on
-2.5 and the lightness on -6.0
5. For red I put the hue on -6.0, the saturation on
+1.0 and the lightness on +1.0

Step 4
Now I save the picture! Don’t forget to also save it to your camera roll!
Sometimes I tweak these edits a little depending on what colors are in my picture, how the lighting is, and what I think looks good.

Step for Step Snapseed

Step 1
Once I’ve opened my picture, I first adjust the sharpening which I put on +30

Step 2
Next up is tuning. I set the ambiance to -10 and the
highlights to +30

Step 3
I usually add glamor glow number 3 which I set to 20

Step 4
Next up is contrast. Mine is automatically set to high tones +30

Step 5
Finally I adjust the temperature. I usually set it to somewhere between -8 and -10

Step 6
Don’t forget to save!

And that’s it!

If you use any other apps, let me know which ones are your favorites! I am a sucker for good photo editing apps, since I make all my pictures with my iPhone.

Until next time!
