Happy #FaeFriday everyone! I hope everyone had a good week. I had a somewhat relaxed week, but did manage to squeeze in a few workouts and yesterday I walked almost 10.000 steps! My pants are getting a wee bit tight, so it’s time I move a little more, haha.
Anyway, Fae Friday is hosted by Kristy @ Caffeinated Fae, and you can find all future prompts on her blog! All you gotta do is link back to her page and have fun with the prompt! Don’t forget to use #FaeFriday on your socials, so we can all find each other’s posts! Here is this week’s prompt:genre
“It’s #FaeFriday, and it’s time to start a genre war… (not really, please be nice). What is your least favorite genre, and why?”

So to be entirely honest, I’m somewhat limited in the genres I read. Everyone and their dog knows I love fantasy and science fiction, but those are about the only two genres I consistently read. Aside from that I also read thrillers and mysteries every now and then, but they are far and few in between.
I think if I’m being honest, my least favorite genre would be contemporary YA. I don’t hate it, I’m just never interested enough to pick one up. Last year I literally read one YA contemporary novel, and it was super light. I guess I only like them when they’re cute and fluffy. I reserve the dark and gritty for my fantasy and sci-fi novels!
There are definitely some contemporaries (YA and adult) that I’m interested in, but they never make it to my TBR. But who knows, I used to read a lot contemporaries before I discovered SFF. Maybe my brain will switch again one day, and I’ll be reading more contemporaries! That said, if you know of any cute and fluffy ones, drop a comment!
