Happy #FaeFriday everyone! Yesterday I officially submitted my thesis, and that was terrifying and I never want to do it again. If I ever start talking about getting a PhD, please slap some sense into me, thanks.
Anyway,Fae Friday is hosted by Kristy @ Caffeinated Fae, and you can find all future prompts on her blog! All you gotta do is link back to her page and have fun with the prompt! Don’t forget to use #FaeFriday on your socials, so we can all find each other’s posts! Here is this week’s prompt:bookish siblings
“It’s #FaeFriday and my big sister’s birthday! That is why the prompt this week is: what are some of your favorite siblings?”
First of all, happy birthday to Kristy’s sister!! Second, now that I think about it, I have hardly read any books with nice, happy sibling relationships in them. What’s up with all those only-children out there in book world?? Thankfully, there are some I like that I can highlight here.
James & Lucie
The Last Hours
By Cassandra Clare
Since I finished Chain of Iron yesterday, I thought I’d start with James and Lucie! I actually like all sibling relations in this series, but of course James and Lucie are the ones we see interacting the most and getting the most POVs. It’s nice to see siblings in books that have very little conflict aside from normal sibling-things. On a related note, I can’t wait for Chain of Thorns to come out next March!
The Blackthorn Siblings
The Dark Artifices
By Cassandra Clare
Yes, more Shadowhunter siblings. But in my defense, the intersection between bookish siblings I like, and bookish siblings I’ve actually read is very small. Anyway, I’ve always loved how the Blackthorn siblings interact with each other in this series. Not everything is perfect, but they each have a place in the family. Side note: does anyone else sometimes grab a Shadowhunter family tree while reading these books? Because I keep forgetting how everyone is related.
The Brown Sisters
The Brown Sisters
By Talia Hibbert
Even though I’ve only read Get A Life, Chloe Brown, so far, I love the Brown sisters. The fact that each book centers on one of the sisters is so cool, and I love that they interact with each other throughout the series. I still need to read Take A Hint, Dani Brown, and I hope to do that soon now that I have seas of time to read. I definitely should finish the whole series before the Summer ends. Who will I relate most to? Personally I think it’ll be Dani.
I’m gonna leave it at that today. I seriously had to look at my shelves to see which books had siblings. I found a bunch, but then it turned out that either one of them died, their relationship is crap, or they didn’t turn out to be siblings after all. Truly a struggle. Anyway, who are your favorite bookish siblings?
First of all, congratulations on submitting your thesis! And great list!
I have to agree with the Brown sisters (I included them on my list this week too!), and absolutely the Blackthorn siblings. This list makes me even more excited to read to Chain of Gold, because I love reading about sibling relationships too, even though most books don’t really include great ones. At least the ones I read don’t.

Thank you!! I think you’ll love Chain of Gold. I think we have quite some overlap in the books we normally read, because I haven’t read many books with good sibling relationships either 😂
