Fae Friday: all the sparkles!

Finally time for another Fae Friday post! It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything. It’s been a weird month. Anyway, this week’s prompt is all about sparkles!

Far Friday is a weekly tag hosted by Caffeinated Fae. You can find all the prompts on her page! Like I said, this week’s prompt is sparkles. Faeries are always portrayed to be obsessed with sparkles and shiny things, so the question is: what’s a book with such a beautiful cover you couldn’t stop staring at it?

Well, I might have a few…

The Priory of the Orange Tree – Samantha Shannon

Look how beautiful! I love this cover so much. The color scheme is amazing, and the entire thing is just so detailed without somehow being too much. I read this book somewhere last year, and it’s chunky, but not bigger than Queen of Air and Darkness and Kingdom of Ash! If you’re daunted by its size and you’ve read either of those two books, your excuses no longer hold ๐Ÿ™‚

King of Scars – Leigh Bardugo

A low quality picture of a high quality cover. This book is so gold it actually sparkles in real life. The details in this one are astounding. It looks like it’s made out of real gold!

Chain of Gold – Cassandra Clare

This book came out not too long ago, but I think it’s my favorite cover of all the Shadowhunter books. That gate is something I’d want in real life, and the read hair with the leaves is so stunning!

Darkdawn – Jay Kristoff

Another low quality picture of a high quality cover. I like all the covers in the Nervernight trilogy, but this one is my favorite because you can see all the animals in the shadows.

The Firebird Trilogy – Claudia Gray

The covers for this entire trilogy are amazing, but the third one is definitely my favorite! I always love how with all these books, you have one old world side and one futuristic side. I haven’t actually read the third book yet, though… oops.

I’m going to leave it at these five! I think it’s safe to say I love detailed, intricate cover art, haha. What are your favorite covers?
